Leadership Contra Costa Environment Day, City/State Presenter: Rob Hilton
Leadership Contra Costa Environment Day was organized to provide members of the Contra Costa County technical advisory committee. Rob Hilton was invited to present an “Introduction to Zero Waste”. His presentation provided a broad overview of Zero Waste principles highlighting world-wide, national level, and corporate responses to Zero Waste. The presentation also address the waste disposal conditions in Contra Costa County and the potential opportunities and benefits of achieving Zero Waste in terms of jobs and GHG emissions reductions. Focus on the Zero Waste hierarchy and examples of programs and policies.
