HF&H created a Zero Waste plan for the City of San Diego outlining the environmental, social, and economic benefits to the City based on analysis of available disposal data, GHG estimates, and employment statistics. Please see the article from ABC 10 News.
The City of San Luis Obispo engaged HF&H to help free up general funds by allocating their right of way, public safety, and governmental facility expenses to their water and sewer funds.
HF&H assisted the City of Newport Beach in privatizing its residential collection services by conducting a competitive process resulting in additional services at a significant cost savings over municipal services. HF&H is currently assisting the city to transition to automated services under the new agreement. This project followed HF&H’s cost study of the city’s solid waste services, conducted to determine the financial feasibility of privatization.
